Small Group Church Caretaker Ministries
Our Church is inviting due to dedicated participants of the following small groups that minister to the physical needs of our Church building and the Worship Services we provide. Consider participating if you too have the need to serve your congregation.
Thessalonians 4:11 and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,
Kitchen Care – Besides the sanctuary, the kitchen is one of the most visible places within the church. Many people walk through and use the kitchen space; a clean and well-kept kitchen says a lot about how we, as members feel about our worship home. Committee members rotate cleaning duties every week and can arrange their cleaning around their personal schedule. New members are always welcome.
Maintenance Team – This group meets every 3rd or 4th Saturday of the month (pending holiday schedules) at 7:00am at CLC to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our church running smoothly and looking good!
Sanctuary Care – This is a behind-the-scenes ministry, great for families as there is something for everyone to do. Members take turns weekly, tidying up our worship space, making sure the pew racks have pencils, offering envelopes and scrap paper. Duties can be done according to one’s personal schedule.
Sign Team – This involves changing the sign out in front of the church on a weekly basis, usually on Tuesdays. The staff may have items or events to be posted on the sign and there is also a booklet with sayings and quotes to use.
First Impressions Team - volunteers are needed to maintain the landscaping around our facility. The property is divided into “lots” which are adopted by dedicated members with a green thumb.
We also have snow removal and low mowing teams. It takes everyone’s help to maintain our Church home!
